Bro. Sam P.K. Collins is a D.C.-based grassroots journalist and Universal Afrikan Nationalist (Garveyite) with nearly 20 years of experience in the newspaper industry, much of which has been dedicated to the Black Press. In addition to his reporting, Bro. Sam's a K-12 educator who conducts writing workshops for aspiring writers and journalists. As an adjunct professor, Bro. Sam highlights the Black Press' role in promoting, or at least discussing, the repatriation of Black people to Africa.
In 2021, Bro. Sam published his first book, "Babylon Be Still: How a Journalist-Educator Adopted an African-Centered Worldview," reflecting on his Liberian heritage, Pan-Afrikan consciousness, and the creation of his grassroots media platform AllEyesOnDC. Subsequent writings, some of which are published on this platform, focus on Rastafari as a tool for spiritual reclamation, the modern-day responsibilities of the Black Press, Liberia's potential for fulfilling a vision conceptualized by the Hon. Marcus Mosiah Garvey, Edward Wilmot Blyden and other African nationalists.
